Smoker's Insurance Product Information
Smoker's Insurance allows tobacco user's to get a free online quote and request application for quality term life coverage with either of Liberty Life’s plans:
Liberty TermTenSM (10 year term) or
Liberty TermTwentySM (20 year term).
Both smoker’s term life insurance products provide a level death benefit payable to the policy anniversary following the insured's 95th birthday. The policyholder has the right to renew insurance coverage at the end of each year by continuing premium payments.
If you enroll in Liberty Life’s TermTenSM, your insurance premiums are guaranteed and remain level for the first 10 years. After 10 years, premiums increase and are based on an attained-age premium scale.
If you enroll in Liberty TermTwentySM, your premiums are guaranteed and remain level for the first 20 years. After 20 years, premiums increase and are based on an attained-age premium scale.
Liberty TermTenSM and Liberty TermTwentySM both provide an Accelerated Death Benefit which provides a benefit equal to 50% of the face amount (subject to a maximum of $300,000) if the insured is diagnosed by a licensed physician to die within 6 months (24 months in WA). Once all underwriting requirements have been fulfilled and your term life insurance policy is issued, you will have 30 days (31 in South Carolina) to review your policy. During this time, if you decide the term life policy is not right for you, you can return the policy for a full refund.
The smoker’s term life policy does have a 2 year suicide exclusion. (1 year in CO and ND)
